As a client or family member, we have no doubt that you have concerns about staying safe as the state slowly reopens. We at Health in Hands Spa share your concerns and take them extremely seriously. That is why the owner/LMT Leyla and the Health in Hands team have spent these many weeks researching the most exacting protective measures when preparing the office for a return to this new, changed environment.

Even before COVID-19, cleanliness was always a top priority. Now, the safety of our clients and team is at the forefront of our attention, and our June 22nd reopening is reflective of only one fact: we are confident that we are now ready to see clients in an extremely safe environment. Leyla and her team have extensively researched the top safety precautions taken by massage/health spa facilities to protect against the spread of Coronavirus, and have conferred with clinical consultants to establish the safest, most protected environment for both clients and team.

These new safety precautions include measures to keep the office in a disinfected state and limit the numbers of individuals at any time to ensure that social distancing is followed.
Our practice follows Practice Guidelines recommended by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

We list some of these new processes and measures below:

• New Air Purification System.

Our rooms are equipped with True HEPA air purifiers, which reduces airborne contaminants including viruses in confined spaces.

• Safe, Powerful Disinfectant.

We have implemented the use of EPA approved, safe yet broad-spectrum surface disinfectant killer of viruses, spores, and bacteria. It is effective as bleach at killing Coronavirus, yet extraordinarily safe.

• Team PPE. We are still smiling at you

You can see it in our eyes! But our team will be equipped with the best possible personal protective equipment, which is changed after every client for their and your safety. Our therapists also change their outfits in between clients. Know the smile is there under the mask and face shield.

• Limiting Daily Client Numbers.

We will be limiting the number of clients we see every day and extending time between appointments. Yes, this will cause a bit of a bottleneck as we reopen but we ask that you be patient through this process. This inconvenience is only a result of making sure that we all stay safe and healthy.

• Required Pre-visit Covid-19 Intake Form.

All clients will be required to complete our pre-visit electronic Covid-19 Intake form while booking session online. Reminder email will be sent 48 hours before your scheduled appointment and you will be asked to edit the intake form if needed. This will help limit your time in the office and will be used as a safety pre-screen.

• Masks Required.

Anyone entering the office must be wearing a mask.

• How We Will Greet You.

Your Massage Therapist will meet you when you enter the office. Then, a verbal screening is followed by a temperature check. Only the client being treated is to enter the office unless the client is a child and needs his parent to be present. In these cases, clients are to be accompanied by one parent or guardian.

• All Temperatures Taken.

The Health in Hands Team, Clients and any accompanying parent will have their temperature taken with a contact free thermometer before entering the office. If a fever of 100.4° or more registers, we will be unable to see that client until the mandatory 14-day latency period passes or sufficient testing is undergone. This will also apply to our team.

• Practice Hygiene In Advance.

Please ensure hygiene is performed thoroughly at home PRIOR to visit.

• New Office Safety Features.

Our waiting area and restroom will be equipped with hand sanitizers and antibacterial hand soap. Massage Tables will be disinfected thoroughly before each client.

We are so grateful for every one of our clients and their families. You have been integral in making Health in Hands Spa the special place and we will continue to be in the wake of COVID-19. It is because of how important you are to us that we are taking the precautions listed above. We ask for your patience and will require adherence to our security enhancements, and we apologize if treatment progress have been affected by the COVID-19 shutdown. We will do our best to get you back on track and look forward to seeing you again soon!
